Large Format Archival printing... Print on Demand!

Want LARGE prints from your digital images?

Using the latest technology, I'm offering archival prints from an EPSON 7600 24 inch wide printer. I use one at work and liked it so much I bought one.
I'm offering up to 24 x 90 inch prints from your digital files, printed the way you want them!

Prices are for EPSON Pro Media
Premium Semi Matte paper (normal photo contrast and sharpness with semimatte finish) features:
10 mil Resin Coated Base, versatile semimatte finish, high D-Max, brilliant color reproduction, true photogtraphic appearance, highest resolution output.

Premium Glossy Photo Paper Print high quality photos for glass frames, photo albums and enlargements, Ultra-smooth, bright white, heavyweight paper with a high gloss finish. Smudge and water-resistant surface. The classic high contrast glossy print is what this media reminds me of.

Enhanced Matte paper features:

Flat matte surface, excellent color reproduction, highest resolution output, photo thickness, excellent hightlights, fine shadow detail.

Enhanced Matte is rated for better than 75 years behind glass properly displayed etc

Premium Semi Matte is rated for at least 35 years behind glass, properly displayed etc

Epson Somerset Velvet and Epson Ultra Smooth Fine Art Paper are almost twice as expensive as Semi Matte, Enhanced Matte or Premium Glossy. The price for prints using Somerset Velvet, Premier Canvas or Ultra Smooth are twice what I have listed below.

Epson UltraSmooth Fine Art Paper 100% cotton hot press for long term durability. Acid free and pH buffered to preserve fine art and photos. Natural white, ultra smooth surface for incredible detail and accurate reproduction. Outstanding D-Max for prints with exceptional contrast.

Epson Somerset Velvet 100% Cotton Rag. Acid Free. Vivid Color Reproduction. High Black Density, Velvet Surface, Museum Quality Appearance, Highest Resolution Output.

PremierArt Water Resistant Canvas for Epson Will not run with water contact, High resolution Canvas coating for outstanding reproductions, Medium gloss surface for easy spraying, Bright white base for highly saturated images, less specular highlights than regular Epson canvas for easier viewing, Heavyweight for quality feel, Acid free 65% Polyester, 35% Cotton, Stretchable for framing.
Other surfaces are available, but these reproduce the best for photographic quality and the look and feel of a fine art print...something worthy of framing and hanging in a prominent location.

For digital camera users. For smaller prints, around 150 PPI offers good results. More is better though. Ideally 360 PPI offers the best. The next best down is 180 PPI. Most large prints I do from D1X and D100 cameras are printed at 180 PPI with truly amazing results. These are printed from 4000x2600 and 3000x2000 pixel images, typically shot RAW.

For large prints, I can "res it up" some in Photoshop to deliver a stunning image. The below prices are for a straight print with little to no image enhancements.

Be aware, most digital formats will not render a 8x10, 11 x 14 etc just like 35mm film, they need to be cropped. If you want a non cropped print, and you order a 20 x 24, it will be printed 24 on the longest side and whatever it comes to on the short side of the image. If you include the correctly sized file, you will get just what you want.

For scans from print (prefer 8x10 print) or 35mm (B&W, color neg or slide) film, a scanning fee of $5 per scan. Any additional cleanup on the file as in dust and scratches will be billed at $15 per half hour. You can include a "Do not exceed" time limit so you will only get a certain amount of cleanup of the scan. The smallest blemish on a 35mm frame can result in a blemish inches across on a large print. A scratch running all the way across the film will take at least a half hour to fix.

Larger film scanned is $7.50 per scan for medium format and 4x5.
B&W and color prints and scans, same prices.

Be aware, Wal-Mart and similar scans are not the best for print use. They can be used but are not accurately scanned per image, but by the roll or batch. They typically adjust for one or maybe two images and then the rest are scanned the same.
B&W images can be tinted a very light blue to enhance them to sepia (or any color really) to a traditional brown tone for no charge.
Any additional graphic work needed like a name or text placed in the image is the same as cleanup work...$15 per half hour. Logos etc to be included in the graphic work, I need a reasonable sized digital image or an image I can scan from. That would be an additional scan charge. Logos etc recreated are billed at $15 per half hour.

All work done digitally is returned on CD with the correctly sized and formatted images. If you want the same size image or smaller printed again, there would be no additional charges other than the standard print price then.
There is no discount for quantities unless you are ordering many of the same image, same size. Quotes available for large quantities.

I will try to work from any flat copy, small file etc, understanding that there are the situations where 'This is all I have"...

A price list is below. I include smaller print sizes as in 5x7, 8x10, 11x14 in case you want to get smaller matching prints. Again, I'm primarily interested in printing LARGE images

This is the same inkset and type of printer that Nash Editions, a very high end fine art print house. The name "Nash", as in Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.
Tests have determined that the prints should last, properly displayed under glass to exceed 75 years for some media (paper)!
I'm interested in making Large prints in single or large quantities and offer a guaranteed satisfaction. You're satisfied with the print or send it back and you get your fee returned...no hassles!
